EXHIBIT: Athenaeum Invitational

Last spring I was invited by Twig Murray to take part in the annual Athenaeum Invitational at the Athenaeum Gallery in Alexandria, Virginia. Each year the exhibit takes on a particular theme this year it was to reflect on a moment of pure joy.

I’ll be exhibiting the triptych (above) from my travels in Newfoundland in July. This piece consists of three 16×20 prints, individually framed and set at a limited edition of three at that size. The exhibit will feature works in a variety of mediums from local artists.

Join me and fellow artists at the exhibition opening:
September 25, 2016 from 4 – 6p.m.

Athenaeum Gallery
201 Prince Street, Alexandria, Va 22314

The exhibition will run through November 5th.

(Excerpt from the Athenaeum press release):
Artists from across the region were asked to interpret the theme, “Oh! The joy!” The selected entries represent the breadth and wealth of excellent art being created in D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. Not only displaying a variety of styles and media, the show is a fascinating exploration of the creative process.

The exhibition includes the work of seven invited artists who have previously exhibited in the gallery and thirty artists selected from responses to an open call.  The invited artists are: David Carlson, Mimi Frank, Sheep Jones, Hannele Lahti, Anne Marchand, Carol Reed, Suzanne Stryk.

I hope to see you there!
