Travel: Nova Scotia – Newfoundland Ferry

One way to get to Newfoundland is by ferry from North Sydney, Nova Scotia. Three ferries leave everyday in the summertime and the crossing to Port aux Basques, Newfoundland is about 6-7 hours, depending on the seas. I was lucky this time and had a smooth crossing – other family members who left the day before did not. Sorry, guys!

I passed the time by making photos, scanning the sea for whales (I saw lots of porpoises but sadly, no whales) and napping. Not bad. Here’s what 6 hours of me confined to a boat will produce.
